Students Election

Ahead of the Much anticipated Njala University Students' Union elections scheduled to take place on 23rd and 24th August 2018 on both Njala and Bo Campuses respectively, the Vice Chancellor and Principal of Njala University together with members of his nascent administration have admonished a galaxy of students at the University Auditorium on Njala campus.
The meeting was graced by Senior Academic and Administrative staff including Newly elected Deans of Schools.
Speaking on the concept of a corporate political approach, Professor Mansaray said the conduct of this year's Students' Union elections marks a new trajectory for student unionism in Sierra Leone. He furthered that owed to the vices which had unavoidably marred students' Union elections across tertiary institutions, a permanent ban was slammed; adding that the New Direction of President Bio has decided to inject new blood into it by revitalising student Union activities.
Professor Abdullah Mansaray said during their heydays in university, they enjoyed student Union politics and therefore urged all and sundry to maintain and upgrade the undisputed image of Njala University. He expressed optimism for the conduct of a free, fair and transparent students Union elections and remarked: " we are here because you are here ".
University Registrar, Dr.Muneer Jalloh said most of the problems that resonate in national politics, emanates in tertiary institutions. He said Njala University has over the years produced eminent and proud academics who have excelled across the globe in all spheres of life and cautioned his audience to emulate their footprints." "Nobody will come from outside to build Sierra Leone, it's ours to make"Dr. Muneer Jalloh opined.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Njala Campus, Joseph Sherman Kamara buttressed the kinetic energy acquired by all in Njala and pledged commitments on the part of the administration for a free, fair and credible election and appealed to the student's body to uphold the rules binding the conduct of students.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Bo Campus, Dr. Saidu Charlley said with a fresh mandate from Government for activation of student Union activities, the future and sanctity of students Unionism is in their hands and placated them to tap into the intellectual and moral upbringing.
Students present lauded Government for reviving the comatose students Union politics and promised to live up to expectations.
